It's Super Bowl Sunday!

Bernard Peirce TD vs. Browns
Frank Gore stiff-arming Seahawks player.
Well, its already time for the Super Bowl. This season has gone by fast, me watching my beloved Vikings go on a roll and then losing in the wild card round. This season, the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49er's play each other. These two teams have a tremendous rushing attack, the Ravens having Ray Rice (obviously) and Bernard Pierce. On the 49er's, Frank Gore and Lamichael James.

What's more important to you... experience or explosiveness? That's the storyline of these two quarterbacks playing today. Joe Flacco, Ravens quarterback, is in his 5th season in the NFL and has made it to the playoffs each year. Colin Kaepernick was drafted in 2011 by the 49er's and had his first full game starting role when Alex Smith was benched earlier this season. He has proven he could pass and run in the clutch during the playoffs. Here is a video of NFL on FOX talking about him.

Ever heard of Ray Lewis? To me, he's the best linebacker in the NFL. He has been on the Ravens for the past 17 seasons and won the Super Bowl MVP in 2001. He decided earlier this season that he would retire at the end of this season so this is a big game for him.

Another story-line during this Super Bowl are the coaches. John Harbaugh is the coach of the Ravens and Jim Harbaugh is the coach of the 49er's. They are brothers. I would not want to be their parents!

Have fun watching the game and the commercials!

Happy Thanksgiving!

 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Sorry I wasn't able to do a fantasy football analysis today, some things popped up and I already had my Thanksgiving meal very early.

 NBA Report
Here is the current NBA standings, credit to nba.com
-The New York Knicks have done surprisingly well this season. The started the season going 6-0.

-After going 0-4 the 4 first games of the season, the Lakers fired their new coach and hired Mike D'Antoni, who was the assistant coach of the gold USA men's basketball during the Olympics and resigned as Knicks coach in March of this year.

-The winless Washington Wizards haven't fired anybody after going 0-10! I guess the Lakers didn't have the patience to deal with that, and the results are doing good.

-The Grizzlies have done good thanks to their own big 3, Rudy Gay, Zach Randolph, and Marc Gasol.

Sunday NFL Games

I'm going to start doing a fantasy football preview every Thursday, but for now, I will do a recap of all of the NFL games.
(Teams that had a bye is the Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, Tennessee Titans, and Seattle Seahawks).

First off, the Buffalo Bills beat the Miami Dolphins 19-14. Miami tried to make a comeback in the 4th quarter, but it was to no avail.
Honoring veterans before game

This Sunday, the Green Bay Packers played the Detroit Lions. I personally wanted the game to end in a tie, or at least the Lions winning, because i'm a huge Vikings fan. The Packers were able to get a touchdown in the 4th quarter, though, and the Packers won 24-20.
Packers vs. Lions
Next game: Cleveland Browns vs. Dallas Cowboys. At halftime, the score was 13-0, Browns. In the 4th quarter, the Cowboys got 17 points to tie the game at 20. Overtime: Cowboys got the field goal to win the game, 23-20 in OT.
Game Winning Kick

The 5-5 Cincinnati Bengals played the 1-9 Kansas City Cheifs, who I consider to be the worst team in the league. The Bengals easily beat them, 28-6.
Bengals vs. Cheifs

The Houston Texans played the Jacksonville Jaguars, in what many thought would be an easy win for the Texans. It turned out to an amazing, close, and high-scoring game. The Texans ended up winning 43-37 to improve to 9-1. Texans QB Matt Schaub tied for 2nd most yards thrown in a game, with 527 passing yards. I have to show you the highlights.

The 1-loss Atlanta Falcons played the Arizona Cardinals. Surprisingly  the game was really close but the Falcons ended up winning, 23-19. Matt Ryan threw 5 interceptions this game (almost made me lose my fantasy football match-up) but with good defense and a few field goals, they were able to win.

As you can see, their have been many close games this week, and the Carolina Panthers vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was just the same. The game went into overtime, and the Buccaneers won it with a Dallas Clark TD, 27-21. Doug Martin is continuing to impress with +100 yards again.
Winning TD

The Philadelphia Eagles played the Washington Redskins on Sunday. Before the game, they had the same record, 3-6. The Redskins got the blowout, though, 31-6. Robert Griffin III threw 4 touchdowns, Lesean McCoy got a concussion, and the Eagles got their sixth straight loss.

New York Jets played the St. Louis Rams. The Jets overcame a 3-game skid, and ended up winning, 27-13.

The New Orleans Saints, trying to be in the race for the playoffs, played the Oakland Raiders. The Saints ended up winning 38-17. This was the 3rd straight loss for the Raiders.
Roman Harper returning an interception

The San Diego Chargers played the Denver Broncos in a very close and exciting game. The Broncos won by a TD, 30-23. Peyton Manning won his 148th regular season game, tying John Elway for 2nd behind Brett Favre (who has won 186).

The New England Patriots played the Indianapolis Colts in what turned out to be a very high-scoring game. The Patriots ended up winning 59-24. Surprisingly  the Patriots defense and special teams did well, returning a punt and an interception for touchdowns.

Sunday night, the Baltimore Ravens played the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Ravens won 13-10, in a game that definitely wasn't showcasing quarterbacks.
I actually kind of like the Steelers new jerseys.

Monday night football, Chicago Bears against the San Francisco 49'ers. I personally thought the Bears would win, but without starting QB Jay Cutler, the team looked helpless in a 32-7 loss. Eyes are turning to Aldon Smith who ended the game with 5.5 sacks.
Another sack for Aldon Smith, on bottom.

NCAA Men's Basketball

So, the Ncaa Basketball season started recently, and things have been going as expected. Their have been a few upsets though, like how #9 Duke beat #3 Kentucky. I think they won because Duke had more experience, as the Wildcats lost 2 of their best players to the first 5 picks in the draft (Anthony Davis and Michael Kidd Gilchrist). Now they are depending on a freshman, Nerlens Noel, to carry their team. The Colorado Buffaloes also had an upset win over #16 Baylor, and Colorado is still unranked. They won 60-58. Even though this was a regular season game, it was also kind of payback for when the Bears knocked them out of the third round of the Ncaa Tournament last year. The Buffaloes had great defense, which I think made them win.
Indiana is the #1 team right now, and that is because of one name. Cody Zeller. He is their sophomore forward. He is a tall, dynamic playmaker and he might even lead his team to the Championship. I personally think they will be in the Elite 8 or the Final 4, but I don't think they will make to the Championship.

Hello...

Hey! What's happening? Long time no see. Yes. I'm back. My blog posts before this weren't the best, and I have decided to start blogging again. This time, you will see a lot more posts and (hopefully) good writing. I hope this will become a blog that any sports fan will go on for the latest news. Thanks for coming back, folks!

NBA Finals

Well, since May 26th, the NBA Finals will be the Miami Heat vs. Dallas Mavericks. The playoffs were pretty disappointing for me, since I HATE the Heat (I actually used to like them (because of Dwayne Wade), but since Lebron came, I don't like them any more). I was rooting for the Bulls to win (with a whole lot other people) but unfortunately the Heat won.

Here are some stats about Lebron James. In the past 3 games (all wins) against the Chicago Bulls, his points # was 28 (kind've low for him), then sky-rocketed (35 points, more average for him, then plummeted (22 points). Now, what's interesting is that in game 4, even though his points total was only 22, his assists # went up (10, compared to 6&5). Also, during that game, Chris Bosh's points total went up a lot, from 10 to 34 points.

Well, it's time to watch the game. And all I have left to say is, go Mavs!!!!!!!!!!!!!
